Nightwish é uma banda finlandesa de metal sinfônico[1] fundada em 1996 pelo tecladista e compositor Tuomas Holopainen na cidade de Kitee, na Finlândia, a formação original ainda contava com o guitarrista Emppu Vuorinen e a vocalista Tarja Turunen; a banda possui atualmente cinco integrantes, sendo considerado um dos responsáveis pela popularização do metal sinfônico.
